01

What makes a clean genuinely deep

Depth comes from the agreed level of detail, not from using stronger products everywhere. It may mean working methodically through accessible edges, fittings, fronts, ledges and floor lines that receive less attention during routine visits.

The method still has to suit the surface. Delicate stone, timber, painted finishes and specialist coatings are not improved by aggressive treatment. Where a material or stain is uncertain, careful restraint is part of the professional standard.

02

A room-by-room scope

Every quotation identifies the included rooms and any specific internal areas. This makes the service comparable and prevents a short generic checklist from being stretched across a large or complex home.

  • Detailed kitchen and bathroom surface cleaning
  • Accessible skirtings, ledges, doors, frames, switches and handles
  • Floor edges and reachable dust points within the agreed areas
  • Careful cleaning around movable small items where permission is clear
  • Interior windows, appliances or cupboards only when itemised
  • A finish check against the approved room priorities

03

Reasons to arrange a deep clean

A detailed clean can help after a particularly busy season, before hosting, when taking control of a newly inherited cleaning routine or when selected rooms need more than the normal maintenance visit can provide.

It is not the same as cleaning after active building work, treating hazardous contamination or restoring damaged materials. Those conditions require a different assessment and, in some cases, another specialist entirely.

04

Preparing the home

Clear access helps the team spend the quoted effort on the detailed clean. Secure valuables and private papers, remove excessive loose items from included surfaces, and follow any specific instructions for cupboards, appliances or rooms.

We confirm products and equipment in advance. Clients should identify manufacturer care instructions, allergies, previous chemical treatments or fragile items that could affect the method.

05

Realistic results and fixed pricing

The purpose is a visibly and practically improved home within the agreed scope. Deep cleaning cannot reverse permanent wear, failed sealant, etched stone, mould within building fabric, damaged finishes or every historic stain.

We quote the result as a fixed scope rather than selling hours. If the desired list is larger than can be completed safely in one planned service, we recommend priorities or stages before accepting the booking.

06

The first deep clean before regular care begins

A normal recurring visit cannot both resolve months of accumulated detail and maintain the areas used that week without something being rushed. Beginning with a reset separates those two purposes.

The visit gives attention to the agreed edges, fittings, accessible surfaces and room details that need more time initially. Later care can then focus on preserving that standard rather than repeatedly catching up.

A reset is not a judgement on the household. Homes accumulate work for many reasons—busy periods, a change of cleaner, illness, travel or simply a service that previously focused elsewhere.

07

From the first clean to regular visits

After the reset, the agreed weekly or fortnightly plan begins. We may refine the order or rotating details based on what the first visit revealed, while keeping the client informed of any material change.

Initial Home Reset prices start from £175 for suitable properties. The fixed quotation reflects the rooms, present condition and level of detail included; it is separate from the recurring visit fee.

Questions, answered

Useful details before you enquire.

01What is included in a professional deep clean?

Included work is property-specific. It normally combines the core kitchen, bathroom, dusting and floor work with itemised detail such as accessible skirtings, doors, frames and fittings. Your quotation provides the exact list.

02Does deep cleaning include the oven?

Not automatically. Oven interiors, other appliance interiors and cupboards must be assessed and expressly included because they can require different products, preparation and time.

03Can you remove mould during a deep clean?

Light surface residue may sometimes be cleanable, but recurring or extensive mould can indicate a moisture or building issue and may require a specialist. We do not promise to solve underlying causes through cleaning.

04Do I need to leave the property?

Not always, although clear working areas make a detailed clean more efficient. We can agree room order and practical arrangements during the consultation.

05Can a deep clean be completed in one day?

Many can, but property size and scope decide. A large or highly detailed home may need a larger team, narrower priorities or more than one stage.

06Is an Initial Home Reset the same as a deep clean?

It uses detailed-cleaning principles, but its purpose is specific: to establish the baseline for recurring OCG care. A standalone deep clean may have a different scope and no ongoing schedule.

07Is the reset compulsory for every regular client?

It is normally recommended and often required, but the assessment decides. A recently and professionally maintained home may need a lighter onboarding visit instead.
