A premium door-to-door ironing service

Ironing can quickly become difficult to manage around work, family life, travel, guests or an unexpected event. Our collection-and-return service removes that pressure while keeping the arrangement personal, organised and discreet.

This is not an anonymous laundry-bag service or an hourly booking. Before accepting an order, we establish what is being collected, how the items should be presented, where and when collection and return are required, and whether the requested deadline is realistic. You receive a clear fixed quotation before the service begins.

How collection and return works

Start by sending us your Oxfordshire postcode, an estimated item count or garment list, the required return date and whether the request is standard, priority or urgent. Photographs may help us assess unusual garments before collection.

Once the order has been reviewed, we confirm the accepted items, fixed ironing fee, collection and delivery charge, turnaround and proposed collection and return windows.

Collection does not take place until availability, scope, price and timing have been agreed.

• Tell us about delicate fabrics, unusual finishes or important care instructions
• Ensure garment-care labels are attached and readable
• Remove valuables and empty every pocket before collection
• Agree whether accepted items should be folded or returned on suitable hangers
• Check the confirmed item count and service details before the order proceeds

Standard, priority and urgent ironing

Standard turnaround is arranged around our available Oxfordshire collection routes. If clothes are needed sooner for travel, an event, guests or another time-sensitive reason, clients may request priority or urgent service.

Urgent work is accepted only when we have the capacity to complete it carefully. The urgent surcharge and exact turnaround are confirmed before collection. Same-day or next-day return is never guaranteed merely because an enquiry has been submitted; it becomes agreed only after OCG has reviewed and expressly accepted the order.

Collection or return outside a practical route or at a particularly restricted time may affect availability and the delivery charge. We would rather decline an unrealistic deadline than accept it and compromise the result.

Garment care and presentation

We iron accepted garments with reference to the attached manufacturer's garment-care label. Different fabrics, linings, prints, trims and constructions respond differently to heat and steam, so clients should identify anything that may require particular attention.

Items should arrive clean and completely dry. Ironing does not remove stains, odours or contamination, and heat may make some marks more difficult to treat. If an item appears unsuitable for the agreed process, we may set it aside and return it without ironing rather than take an unnecessary risk.

Accepted clothes can be returned neatly folded or on suitable hangers according to the confirmed order. The chosen presentation method should be agreed before collection so that the garments can be prepared consistently.

Items we cannot accept

This service covers ironing only; it does not include washing, stain removal, dry cleaning, repairs or specialist textile treatment.

We do not accept hazardous, contaminated, heavily soiled, damp or wet items. Garments marked dry-clean-only and items requiring specialist pressing or treatment are also excluded.

Specialist items can include wedding or ceremonial clothing, leather, suede, heavily beaded or embellished garments, structured couture, vintage or fragile pieces, specialist protective clothing and any article whose construction or care instructions make ordinary ironing unsuitable. If there is uncertainty, please send details or photographs before arranging collection.

Clear fixed quotations across Oxfordshire

We do not charge by the hour. The fixed ironing quotation is based on the confirmed garment quantity and mix, required presentation, level of care and agreed turnaround. A materially different item count or garment mix presented at collection may require the quotation to be revised before the order is accepted.

The collection and drop-off fee is agreed separately because it depends on the Oxfordshire postcode, journey, access arrangements, timing and whether a dedicated urgent route is required. Every applicable fee, including any urgent surcharge, is confirmed before collection so that the complete cost is clear.

We consider requests across Oxfordshire on a postcode-by-postcode basis. Route availability and practical collection times vary, particularly for urgent work, so submitting an enquiry does not itself reserve a slot.
